The core of the Chinese Long March 5B rocket carried the "core module" of the country's space platform into low Earth orbit last week. But then the mission was complete, the rocket appears to possess fallen into an orbit that would see it plunge towards the world. It is not clear how the 30-meter-tall rocket will fall, and where exactly it'll land. Since 1990, nothing weighing more than 10 tonnes has fallen back to Earth uncontrolled – and therefore the Chinese rocket is assumed to weigh about 10 tonnes.
