Tom Holland is addressing the rumors spinning around Hollywood on upcoming Spiderman 3
Spiderman 3 rumors |
What’s up guys, welcome on My News Gali. Tom
Holland is addressing the rumors currently spinning throughout Hollywood that,
the cast from past Spiderman movies would make a cameo in the upcoming
Spiderman 3.
Although there haven’t been many clues to prove that the
cast from the previous Spiderman films will return, one major hint was dropped by
Zendaya back in December, around the time sources confirmed that Alfred Molina
would be reprising his role as the antagonist “DocOck”.
During a recent interview with Carey Mulligan for Variety’s
Actors on Actors, Zendaya seemingly confirmed that Alfred was set to return by
confirming she had met him, which led fans to think that even more Spiderman vets
would also return:“...like Alfred Molina, and then Molly Shannon and Connie
Britton…” “...who’s so nice, by the way!” .
But it seems the reunion theories are simply nothing more
than rumors as of yet, according to Tom Holland, who also caught up with
Variety to dish about the upcoming film. When asked about if there was any
truth to the rumors, he admitted, “I’ve never met Kirsten Dunst. I met Andrew
once, I met him at the BAFTAs. He was lovely. He was a really nice bloke and we
had a nice chat. It was quite soon after Spider-Man: Homecoming had come out. He
was really positive and nice.” As for Tobey, Tom explained that the only interaction
he’d ever had with him was when he “bumped into Tobey a few times at different parties
in LA.”
But the burning question was whether or not these past
Spider-Men would appear in the upcoming film, and Tom basically put an end to
those rumors, saying, “Beats me, I don’t know. If they are, they never told me
yet.”

That’s a pretty bold statement, especially after the lengthy
list of films created within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Tom went on to
explain his statement, saying,“ You sit down, read the script, and see what
they’re trying to do, and they’re succeeding. It’s really impressive. I’ve
never seen a standalone superhero movie quite like it. And I’m just, you
know... that lucky littles**t who happens to be Spider-Man in it.”
While we’re unsure where the Spiderman saga will go after
the third installment of the series, what’s next for Tom might include stepping
away from the camera and taking a seat behind it. He also dished to Variety
that he’s been getting an itch for directing, just further confirming our
theory that Tom Holland can do no wrong and shall be protected at all costs.
Sony has officially slated Spiderman 3 for December 17, 2021
release, with Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home director Jon
Watts back at the helm, and many familiar faces set to reprise their roles,
including Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange.
