Barcelona vs Cádiz, La Liga: Final Score 1-1

Due to the 1-1 draw with relegation candidate Cadiz at the Nou Camp, Barcelona wasted a huge opportunity to make a statement in the La Liga title race.  Barcelona performed well throughout the game and created enough opportunities to win easily, but due to the stupid penalty given by Clément Lenglet at the time of death, they could only find the Nets once and admit a bad goal. .

In the First Half,

Cadiz appeared in a 4-5-1 formation and parked the bus in the second game, so Barcelona knew they needed patience, creativity and keenness to break this defense.  None of them was the kind of thing in the early days, the pass was misplaced, the player didn't run enough balls behind, and they lacked faith in the final goal.

But as time passed, Blaugrana got better and better and looked more dangerous. The right quartet of Sergiño Dest, Ousmane Dembélé, Frenkie De Jong and Lionel Messi started to cause real problems, and the opportunity came. In the end, after Pedri was opened in the penalty area, Braugrana won a penalty and Messi scored easily and led the home team to the lead.

Barça kept attacking after opening the target, and should have increased twice through Deji and Pedri, but when Antoine Griezmann shot along Germany and China more and more strange moments behind the net, when he assisted Pedri, this Will make Dest offside.  After they admitted,

Cadiz had a chance to appear soon, but Lu Ben Solino missed the goal.  At halftime, Barcelona dominated and looked good in the last 20 minutes of the second half. They wanted to maintain this momentum and stay ahead in the second half.

In the Second Half

Cadiz did not change their plan in the second half, and continued to defend the deep hope of preventing Barcelona from scoring, perhaps there is a chance to tie the score later. Barça played better with more chances, three of the big guys somehow did not get scored by Messi, Dembélé and Griezmann.

The substitute riqui puig almost got a gorgeous goal, five minutes to go, but Barcelona somehow extended their lead and finally paid it: Lenglet kicked Ruben Sobrino’s leg in the box with a stupid punishment, And Álex Fernández placed a confidently strengthened burial kick to make it 1-1.

Barcelona had five minutes of stoppage time to try to find the winner, but Cadiz defended his life and celebrated that it was a victory for them when the final whistle sounded.  In any case, despite the many obvious opportunities created throughout the game, Barcelona still did not win. They are not worth falling, but they can't complete their chances and Lenglet once again errors.

Now, the undefeated record has expanded to 13 games, but this should be eight consecutive victories, which really put pressure on Atlético. They can't do it, and it seems that Barcelona will not fight for the championship this season.
